Substitute Teacher Coordinator to manage our pool of substitute teachers and ensure high-quality classroom coverage.
Reports To: Assistant Superintendent
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing Substitute Teacher Pool
- Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new substitute teachers.
2. Communication and Support
- Maintain regular communication with substitute teachers, school staff, and administrators regarding schedules, assignments, and classroom needs.
3. Administrative Tasks
- Track substitute teacher hours, maintain absence records, and prepare related reports.
4. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving
- Address issues related to substitute coverage, classroom management, or other challenges during assignments.
5. Maintaining Records
- Keep accurate documentation of substitute assignments, hours worked, and related information.
6. Training and Orientation
- Provide orientation and training to substitutes on school procedures, classroom management, and relevant systems.
7. Building Positive Relationships
- Foster professional, supportive relationships with substitutes, school staff, and administrators.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in education preferred.
- Ability to work in fast-paced and time-sensitive situations.
